Mission

Our mission is to create printed works of lasting value, by delivering important information for scholars, with quality writing, and with handsome publication design.

The Printed Word

Focused, printed publications continue to be the preferred, and most influential, means of communicating and preserving the heritage of arts and culture.

Beginnings

Condar Press was established in 1999 to design and publish new research about American art history. The first publication was a 16-page monograph with five black & white illustrations and paper covers. The most recent publication is a 233-page hardback volume with 24 pages of color illustration and full-color dust jacket, designed in our offices and produced at one of the finest art printers in the world.

Marketing and Fulfillment

Besides producing such specialty works, Condar Press markets its titles nationally and internationally. We work with institutions, bookstores, and other channels of distribution to reach appropriate audiences for each individual publication. Our fulfillment department is fully computerized to provide prompt and accurate shipment.
